Mish Whitmore
Mish's dedication to community arts is evident in her academic achievements. She earned First Class Honors in a BA in Drama and Performance at the University of Portsmouth and is now on the verge of completing an MA in Socially Engaged Theatre Practice. Her years of experience in community arts have been further enriched by formal training in advanced drama facilitation skills.
Over her years of experience, Mish has worked with a diverse range of people in the community, focusing much of her work with children and young people. This work has extended to include seniors, individuals with disabilities, and other marginalised groups in society. As part of this, she has recently undertaken a project with Vecta House Care Home to create a carnival performance with the residents.
Mish's unwavering belief in the transformative power of the arts is a driving force in her work. She advocates that arts should be a universal right, accessible to all, regardless of background or circumstances. The arts, in her view, not only enrich our lives but also have the potential to bring about positive change. Her work, whether as a participant or an audience member, has a profound impact. She is convinced that the arts can play a pivotal role in strengthening communities and enhancing the quality of life for individuals.
Mish's multifaceted contributions to Pink Cow Theatre are a testament to her passion and talent. She not only writes and produces thought-provoking work but also actively engages in community outreach. Her work, designed to stimulate thought, raise awareness, and educate, is showcased in local theatres and community spaces. When Pink Cow Theatre collaborates with schools, Mish often leads follow-up workshops to further enrich the learning experience.
Pink Cow Theatre is dedicated to furthering community engagement, thereby enhancing life chances and experiences. If you have a project in mind that you believe we could facilitate on your behalf, we encourage you to reach out and discuss it with us.
